Brigitte lives in Leicestershire, and exhibits work locally, also in Birmingham and Cornwall. She studied locally and with the Newlyn School of Art.
Time and paredolia appearing within the rockscapes of the Utah desert feature in her current series “The sand falls” - she sees figurative shapes in unexpected places. She also works from the face and figure in charcoal, mixed media, acrylic or oil. "I love the fluidity and versatility of charcoal. I may work rapidly or carefully and it is not unusual for me to make abrupt changes whatever the medium, as intuition can be sudden and the imperative to respond compelling. I obliterate what went before, though traces always remain.”
Her work maybe dynamic, raw and layered, or sensitive and compassionate.
It has been called experimental, psychological, innovative and intuitive.
